IMO, that appears to be a result of a long time, allowed lack of respect, (which is the parent's fault). We removed the bedroom door, turned off the cell phone, took away the gaming system... all that.

My oldest son disrespected my wife once in our home. I swept the leg, pinned him with my knee on his cheek bone and the hardwood floor and told him he had a choice, apologize, get in line or walkout the door with the clothes on his back. The 2 younger sons saw all this and I never had a problem with any of them after that. He was 16 at the time. Now he's 32.

No time to watch wrasslin. I just don't tolerate rude behavior in my home.

no clearer example of raising a kid with time outs and "talk" rather then just literally whipping that arse until they cant sit down straight any more.

kids learn quickly when they face consequences for bad acts, and when they dont face any consequences for bad acts other then time outs and "talk", they know they, and not the parents, are the true boss

Gotta be fake.

That kid would be sleeping for a bit on the floor next to the toilet if that was real.

Yep, I called it fake after seeing the first video. The second one pretty much proves it.

Funny they "wrestled" to the ground and by the time the friend showed it, the kid was knocked out.

People do some stupid shite on the internet for views.

If the dad had hit him he would have cried like a bitch.

I hope I’m never in that situation. My buddy’s kid took a swing at him when he was 17. He just asked him to calm down. I don’t have that much restraint.

I guess I’d go to Academy and buy two pairs of boxing gloves.

have seen this a couple of times, wtf is that about? if the trash level has reached this point and you think it's time to throw down, then it's right then and there, not to set up some quasi sporting event, either kick some arse or be a puss

I don’t know. Just spitballing. I’ve never been close to this situation. If I raise my voice my kids pay attention. Most posters are right who said once it gets to this point it’s too late.

Sounds almost exactly what we’ve been through with our daughter with some added complications. I feel for you and your wife since I know what it’s like to watch your daughter spiral down and rip your family apart while nothing you try helps. I know it doesn’t help to know that your family isn’t alone in these type of struggles, but best wishes that your daughter and family can be healed one day.

I remember being a saucy 13 year old who built up the stones to mouth off to my family. I told my grandma to shut her mouth. I don't remember my dad belting me across the head, but I do remember laying on the ground with my head ringing.

I cannot even picture myself risking my life talking to my Dad like that NOW, much LESS when I was a kid

I would do absolutely nothing because this video is 100% staged. There's a reason the couch is hiding the moment he lays him out.

You can raise your kids any way you want to but at the end of the day they are going to do what they want. I've seen siblings go in completely different directions in life and were raised in the same household.

Proud to say I never had that dads problem. I set the tone at early age.

That kid wouldn’t survive one day in prison! Which is probably where he’s headed. If it’s the fathers house where’s the mom? I bet he listens to rap and thinks he’s hard.

Oh and he’s beat the shite out of me if I ever talked like that to anyone.

I know this is the OT and it's basically all BS on here, but I posted my story hoping someone else would read it and know that there are people struggling with the same thing. I dream of the day where I have a functional adult daughter.....
