OT called it - man shot by car burglar in NOLA

Y’all said these daily burglaries were going to turn into a shooting and you were right once again.

A man was shot after he came upon his vehicle being burglarized early Tuesday on South Derbigny, New Orleans police say. He approached his vehicle around 4:09 a.m. in the 4000 block of South Derbigny Street.
From inside the vehicle, the alleged burglar pulled out a gun and shot the man, police say. He then ran away. The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment. The perpetrator is described as a thin man in his 20s with a twist hair style. NOPD released images of him.

My understanding was the City of NO would not get interested until a perp was blown away by the victim of the car burglary/vandalism.

Damn shame of it is it is a double loss for the car owner. If you blast the burglar, your car is going to get shot up and bloody. Plus you are guaranteed to spend tens of thousands defending yourself in court.
