It’s suburban Hattiesburg (west of Oak Grove IIRC), so it isn’t like living completely in Mayberry.

It is right off a major state highway outside of one of the biggest cities in the state.

Something like that.

I don’t remember exact times but it is not too terribly long a drive from USM as long as you avoid Hardy St as much as possible.

For comparison, about the same amount buys you 84 acres in Jackson Hole, but without the trashy architecture.

Wyoming: no personal tax in state.

Back to Mississippi: what about Mineral rights?

Timber: what kind and how many years until harvest?

And before someone else says it, I know if I have to ask these questions, I can't afford it.

He was such a bad alcoholic when he played with the Packers they would lie to him when camp started by about a week to get him sobered up enough to start camp.

It is. I found it on Apple Maps. The property is adjacent to US 98.

He was also involved with the people that were involved with the Cream Scheme. A bunch of Mormons and Wade Walter's, The Tomelys, and a few other High Ranking Church members fricked Tri care out of 500 million and he was pushing that shite.

Back to Mississippi: what about Mineral rights

Good luck with mineral rights in Mississippi, they are perpetual and almost all were bought up by corporations a long time ago and will never change hands again

Brett lives about 5 minutes from me. That property is well kept and the frontage area of the property along 98 probably cost more than most of our homes on here. It's pretty impressive. We are certainly not rural either. In fact, I wish we were further away from Hattiesburg. Seems Brett and I are getting out of here....we're gone next year. Headed south.

Side note, years ago (early-mid 1990s) Brett and I almost got in a fight in the Varsity in Baton Rouge. We were both drunk and his dumbass ran into me as he was coming down the stairs and I was headed up. We exchanged words but he thought better of it. He's not very big and I was pretty stout at that point. Probably would have been a good fight.
