The cop should be charged with negligence and creating some danger to the public

One of the incredible things about New Orleans is just when you think it can’t possibly get worse, it does.

It seems like it is part of a consistent theme of how she runs things and also the poor quality of her hires and job training.

I know we're loving to blame Hudson, but how's that her fault people are incompetent, its not like she made the error.

She has to face consequences of that incompetence. She is the boss of a failed government entity.

Biometrics: are the systems free?
Personnel: the current staff would be entering the data what could possibly go wrong?
How much would the educated personnel earn to keep the system running?

Good ideas, but somebody will have to pay for them and you can be sure it won't be the criminal class.

Not sure what’s funnier…this dude mistakenly let out or the escaped inmates pleading not guilty.

Honestly I don't think they should charge for shite - related to this anyway. If he stays out of trouble, I think he should be a free man.

The news this morning said the guy was "still on the run".

Are you really on the run if they released you?

A New Orleans inmate mistakenly released in July is back in custody at the Orleans Parish Justice Center. Khalil Bryan was captured in Texas on August 20. He was extradited back to Orleans Parish on Thursday. Bryan was mistakenly released from the Orleans Parish jail on July 25. Texas law enforcement confirm that he was arrested in Harris County around 10 a.m. According to the Harris County Constable Precinct No. 5, Bryan was arrested in the 14600 block of Keystone Green Drive. Officials say he tried to escape from a window of a home but was found and arrested. Bryan was treated for minor injuries and booked into the Harris County Jail. Two other people at the location were also arrested on unrelated warrants. The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office said Bryan was incorrectly released due to a misidentification between two individuals with a similar last name. The charges against Bryan include illegal possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.

If this was truly just an error, Nothing. A release in error is not an escape, so this guy got a free ride for this BS.
But, if they find out that this was actually a planned event, it could be escape and conspiracy.
We can hope...

Why would you imagine that the federal government should be responsible for irresponsibly managed local government functions?
They might step in at times, but those are rare and awkward events. NOLA just needs to grow up and take care of their business.
Yeah. Good luck with that.
