What about all the practices there already owned by PE?
Can they stay?

Now.. repeat this 49 more times.
My old doctor used to be awesome... then more and more control from above came to his group practice... then he eventually turned into a cookbook doctor and I dropped him.

I mean they do this with lawyers everywhere. I don't necessarily agree with it on a philosophical level, but it's bullshite on a personal level.
If the argument for lawyers is that we have certain specific duties to our clients that can't be compromised, these professional services who owe their own certain specific duties should face the same regulation (if we're being intellectually consistent). Medical, dental, accounting, etc. Hell, it would be hilarious if they came down on finance/investment companies (who have fiduciary duties) too.

Don’t know the details, but I favor this. Just look at what private equity and corporate control has done to vet practices. It destroys professionalism. So far, lawyers have held out against this sort of thing, at least in the US.

What about doctors that own their own practice and incorporate it? I've know several physicians that used to do this.
Are they also going to control malpractice insurance costs? That's what drove most of them out of private practice business.

Do all professional services next.
PE is nothing but bad news for everything it touches.

Do they incorporate them or form an LLP?

Anything that has standards to uphold the public trust or health should not be owned by PE. The ethos of the two entities are incongruent.

Sorry I don't know the specifics.

Well they aren’t owned by private equity so what is the question?

Let oregon be a test case to see if this helps medical prices and care, or if it hurts prices and care......

They act in bad faith, often unlawfully, and get around being prosecuted through NDAs, forum selection, and restrictive contracting.

Eh, kind of broad brushstrokes there.
