Looks like he’s from Swords/Mallet. The story doesn’t illicit any kind of shock considering it happened in Opelousas.

So who shot who? Did the girlfriend try to shoot the wife or the other way around? Was the chief shot in the hand while grabbing the gun?

Girlfriend, who happens to be an OPD officer, pulled a gun and tried to shoot wife. He grabbed the gun just as it was going off. The projectile went through his hand and into wife's arm
