That's still them choosing to be an a-hole at the expense of something their wife and children would like. You really good being that way?

Then don't act like everyone dropping $5K on Disney can't afford it. I know it's hard for people to comprehend but there's a lot of people out there that go to Disney AND the beach AND skiing AND New Zealand AND a shite ton of other places.

Regardless of the "controversy" of Song of the South, the ride needed to update because kids today have no idea who Briar Rabbit is.

Banning the movie from being shown, sold, etc might have something to do with that.

Its the wife’s fault at the end of the day in that situation.

What a bitch way to go through life. "My wife made me do this so I'm going to be a complete bitch."

Grow up, man. Jesus Christ.

I let her do all the shirts and theme night stuff and did my best to go into it with an open mind.

I’ll bring my kids to Disney, but I did find it humorous that adults were walking around Disney wearing Mickey Mouse hoodies

I went and had a good time, but I draw the line at dressing up or wearing Disney gear

3 and under free.

I believe its 2 and under are free, I was looking at single-day tickets yesterday and that's what it showed.

We have a trip planned to south Florida over the summer, instead of flying we are considering driving, with a stop in Orlando to do a single day at Magic Kingdom. Single day tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids(3 & 5) comes to $815.00. Factor in a couple hotels along the way and we figure we can do the drive + Magic Kingdom day for ~$1500, versus flying costing ~$800-$1000 and then having to rent a vehicle for a week.

We're highly considering doing it. We figure one day at MK will be enough to scratch the itch while they're little and maybe consider a longer trip when they're a little older. Our kids handle roadtrips well, we'd be splitting the drive up into 2 days, and I hate the process of flying.

I've got some stuff in the closet now My kids enjoy it, and I figure I've worn worse stuff over the years

Children under 3 years old are free at Disney parks, while children aged 3 to 9 require a child’s ticket. If a child turns 3 during the trip, they technically need a ticket for the days they are 3. Children 2 and under do not need a ticket or reservation.

Free (Under 3): No ticket required.
Ages 3-9: Child ticket required.
Age 10+: Adult ticket required.

Same. My kid gives me some kind of different Disney shirt for father's day every year. Mostly Star Wars stuff now but I do have a Haunted Mansion shirt I wear to the Halloween party every year.

Oh you've been since Covid? Or is this another excuse you are making during your mental gymnastics you are doing to justify not wanting to go?

The fact that you typed this out and it never dawned on you that the dads (you) were the a-hole in this situation speaks volumes. The issue isn't really the price. Its that you are a self centered a-hole who doesn't want to spend money on anything unless its specifically for you.

I have zero interest in Disney

My kid has zero interest

That being said it’s hilarious that posters compare Disney to a trip to Gatlinburg or Orange Beach or whatever

I love these threads so much. It's fun watching people go out of their way to tell people how stupid they are for spending their own money on something they obviously enjoy.

If we go that would be the plan so that we could maximize time on the single day.

Unless they hate rides and people in costumes your kid has ineterst in Disney. Depending on their age, they may not know it exists but there is zero chance you bring a young kid to Disney and they are uninterested.
