Its this part that matters. Its this part that makes people go back. Its this part that makes adults go without kids.

Call it cheesy or whatever but there is something magical that happens that resonates with people for life. Its why going young (6 or younger) is better. They get the full magical experience and even if they don't fully remember the trip, they remember that feeling when they return.

I find that people who swear up and down they hate Disney have usually never experienced the parks. They don't understand and they really can't understand unless they bring their kids and a good attitude.

I’ll never forgive Disney World for getting rid of Splash Mountain

Umm the ride is still the same. Just has a different theme. Regardless of the "controversy" of Song of the South, the ride needed to update because kids today have no idea who Briar Rabbit is.

I went when I was 4-5 years old and again when I was 15. Yeah it’s cool. But it’s not cool enough to fork out that much money for it because of the “magical feeling”

The assholes that say “you’ll get the money back, you won’t get the memories if you don’t go though” piss me off. Because that guilt trip shite is why families have no savings and make horrible financial decisions that lead to massive credit card debt they can’t afford.

The Disney marketing campaign on social media that uses the whole “don’t worry about the money, worry about their memories” is a prime reason along with the price I absolutely refuse to take my family there. If my kids resent me over that, then I fricked up enough in other areas that wouldn’t have made a difference anyway.

I bet there is some hobby or event you fork over a ton of money for that fits your interests so don't act like its really the money. Its the fact that it doesn't interest you. Which is fine, to each their own. But this high and mighty stance you have about fiscal responsibility is a BS cover.

Absolutely bullshite. Take your 4-year-old daughter and watch her face the first time she sees the castle.

No actually. The most I money I spend is on vacations. And i get way more for $5k in other places than an overcrowded and overpriced park.

The “watch their faces light up and you’ll forget about the money!” bullshite is just that. bullshite. It’s nothing but a guilt trip to try and get parents to spend money.

Like I said, Its not the money. You have decided that Disney doesn't fit your interest and you spend the same amount in other places.

I was there over Mardi Gras break with my 7yr old, my 5yr old nephew and my 3yr old niece. I don't give a shite what these dumb fricks say in this thread. That was an experience I'll never forget. So many little natural moments.

Maybe next year we'll head to the Swiss Alps and see if we can recreate that magic.

Yeah. Other vacation spots for my family. That’s not a hobby.

Maybe my wife just caught us a deal but we went in 2024. Family of 4. Stayed at all star sports. Meal plan. 5 night 4 park hopper days. $4300. Kids were 6 and 3 I believe and I think kids under 8 are cheaper.

This is my point. The fact that you paid $4300 for not even a week and that is called a “deal” by them is insane.

If Disney offered a full week stay and didn’t charge out of the arse for products and food in the parks, and still offered free shuttles and other amenities it wouldn’t be that bad of a deal. I don’t think people realize just how shitty the parks and their prices/lack of amenities have gotten since Covid.

Yeah, those kids are gonna love the timepiece museum. Half the people who shite on Disney can't afford it.

If you want to spend 20k on a 2007 Toyota Corolla, be my guest. But don’t act like the people who choose not to are broke

Ever priced a decent condo in Orange Beach? You'll pay about the same just for the condo before you do anything.

If it's not your cup of tea, it's not your cup of tea. What I can't understand are the dads that reluctantly take their kids to Disney and bitch the entire trip about lines, money, walking, crowds, etc. then wonder why their kids didn't have a good time. Kids feed off of your energy and if you are a miserable person the entire trip, of course the kids are not going to get as much out of it.

Ironically, those kids grow up and do the same thing with their kids, and the Disney hate hate trip continues.

Because they probably told their spouse no and she was so incessant about it they finally decided to just give in and go. I would bet that’s the situation 90% of the time
