For my 8029th post, I present Emma Morano. A truly classic babe.
Born in Civiasco, Italy on November 29th 1899..she is the last verified person to be left from that century. LINK

Wow 117... Just think of the advances this woman has seen in the past century...
I had a patient the other day that's 107... I believe she's the oldest person in Louisiana.. She grew up in New roads.. It seems country folks live the longest lives...

That's wild. She was 69 when man landed on the moon!

I suspect it would be hard to get good odds on her in the 2017 death pool.

Good lord. Think about the changes She's seen.
When having been born with a penis made you a man.
When you had to win something to get a trophy

It is crazy that this lady was about 64 when Kennedy was shot.

I'm reminded of the other woman mentioned in this article, Jeanne Calment, who lived to 122. From her wiki:
Imagine - you're 47 years old and sign a deal like that with someone 90. You die 30 years later at 77, she still outlives you and your estate has to make the payments.
quote:
In 1965, at age 90 and with no heirs, Calment signed a deal to sell her apartment to lawyer André-François Raffray, on a contingency contract. Raffray, then aged 47 years, agreed to pay her a monthly sum of 2,500 francs (€381.12) until she died. Raffray ended up paying Calment the equivalent of more than €140,000 which was more than double the apartment's value. After Raffray's death from cancer at the age of 77, in 1995, his family continued the payments until Calment's death.

And 99% of the mouth breathers on this board would take away from her every feminist advance of the last 117 (legal and social) in a heartbeat.

I don't know. If she was in Italy and survived both world wars, economic insanity, and everything else, she could probably gut it out for another year.

I wonder if she has a smart phone?

My gramps was a country boy his whole life... got hit by a bus leaving the doctors office after being given a clean bill of health after a battle with cancer. Died on the spot at 51. You never know. Things were different back then.
