While the name is apt, this has absolutely nothing to do with cancel culture

You feel good about yourself being the told you so guy?
I think it's more that he's really scared and he's actually trying to provoke a reaction of people telling him it's going to be OK but he doesn't want to come right out and say it.
Poor son of a bitch has probably spent all weekend being deluged with every worst case scenario that his relatives on Facebook can find.

Those leaders are simply running a race to see who can cancel the most shite thinking it will make them look good as the most proactive. And no one wants to be last or the one who didn’t “do anything.” This is cancel culture combined with mass hysteria.
So you’re the expert on novel contagious viruses, the current status/capacity of our healthcare industry, and the corporate decision making process as it relates to this event. I’m surprised Trump hasn’t tapped you to be our Corpnavirus Czar.

OP, you're arguing on a board with a bunch of people from Louisiana. Louisiana.
Literally the quantifiable worst state to live in of the 50.
The 3rd dumbest.
The world would end because of this and instead of acknowledging how wrong they were, they'd likely take a swig of a 5th of Jack, denote that LSU is the last college football champion on earth, thus, the forever champion, and ride off into the gates of hell screaming, "LSU! LSU! LSU!"
You think they give a damn?

Over reaction does not constitute a catastrophe

It’s the little Nancy boy behavior by people like you that is a threat.
It’s not a disease, just a virus.
Nancy Boy syndrome may be more of a disease.

Stop stirring panic. This is not going to end us unless people like you get their wishes.
Do you really hate OMB enough to bring the country down just to get rid of him?

Life comes at you fast....
So you want to lump some dummy's stupid post to everyone?
And this person is stupid because they used the term "oxygen stats". It's "oxygen sats" as in how much, percent wise, oxygen is saturated in your hemoglobin....
You know the little light thing on your finger they like show during medical shows, it's called a pulse oximeter... It measures oxygen saturation in percentages, anything better than 90% is acceptable.
Unless if you're a PACU nurse who will aggravate the frick out of respiratory therapist if their pt isn't satting 100%...

They feel like they have to be as conservative as possible thanks to the media reaction if they don’t take this “seriously.” I know the director of infectious diseases For a major medical company... this reaction is 100% political. Swine flu didn’t cause this hysteria and it went completely under the radar to the majority of the country. Yet 12k American died within 9 months and 300k people were hospitalized. We are nearly 2 months in and have just 69 deaths. Swine started in April and by June there were a million cases. We. Don’t. Have. To. Panic.

OP is doing exactly what the media expected most of this country's population of scared, obese, semi-literate morons to do.

The panic will cause more deaths than the virus.

Panic stupidity and overreaction spreads like wildfire.
Once again I blame Facebook.

The worst thing about modern America is that everyone feels compelled to take an immovable position on every topic, even though most of us are staggeringly stupid.
Like 1% of this board has any understanding of epidemiology, yet we're all staunchly positioned on this topic.
Unfortunately, people who do have that knowledge (or knowledge about climate change, or the law, or the cosmos, or whatever) also twist reality toward their political slant, leading us to distrust them. And now every joe blow struts around confidently saying shite like "it'll kill 1 million, guarantee it" or "it's just the gosh darn flu, it's gonna kill my (nonexistent) 401k!"
