Sometimes they're made by narrow streets in cities that built up before every car became a tank.

I will agree if it's a sudden shift from 2 lane to 1 way. Or a 1 way with shittons of cars parked so it's harder to see the signs.
I get that you have to look around, but I think there's a balance between needing to be aware of your surroundings and needing to look around like a coked up blue Jay to catch everything.
