Find me another time in this country’s history in which euthanizing hobos was even considered, much less actually done.
You got me there, however in the 50’s they were institutionalized and used to test out vaccines and therapy techniques. Nowadays they let all of productive society be the guinea pigs; is that really better? No.

Ending drug addiction is a little more complex than busting frat guys for smoking pot.
The people that end up like this lady are typically victims of emotional trauma. Watch the YouTube channel Soft White Underbelly. He interviews the dregs of society. Skid row and shite. Everyone of those people have deep scars from child abuse, sexual abuse, etc.

Mass euthanasia would actually be humane for these types. I expect these ideas to gain traction as religion rates decline.
There are ways to be humane without actually killing these people. Case in point, the starting point would be to overturn the 1975 Supreme Court case of O’Connor v. Donaldson, which established the right of mentally disabled persons to due process protection under the Fourteenth Amendment. Justice Potter Stewart, writing for the majority, held that “a state cannot constitutionally confine, without more a nondangerous individual who is capable of surviving safely in freedom by himself or with the help of willing and responsible family members or friends.” Jones v. U.S. and Foucha v. Louisiana should also be re-examined.
Since these decisions, and coupled with attitudes about mental illness in today’s society, you’ve seen an increase in mentally ill individuals committing crimes and roaming the streets as homeless. Why? Because there’s no place for them to go—the family’s typically wash their hands of them, and the Supreme Court usurped the States’ authority to govern within their own borders.

Friend,
What a horrific statement. Even more horrific is that 60% of the respondents of your post liked it. No human is worth less than the value of life, and no human should be willfully killed. All humans have value, and no one is so far from the love and salvific power of Jesus as to be cast as irredeemable. We are called to love and help these people more than any other people.
I will continue to pray for this person and for the members of the OT who think death is the answer for those who have wandered astray. Please, consider reading the life and teachings of Christ our Lord in the Bible. Let his light shine in your hearts.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

At least she’s still skinny, unlike that fatty Marissa Miller….

The same thing happened to Jenni Lee. Ended up homeless and looking like shite in her late 30's. Teeth rotting out of her head, no shower in months, greasy nasty hair, etc. Lived in the Vegas tunnels.

She was gorgeous. I hope she recovers. I wish meth and fentanyl never existed. They're a destroyer of worlds. Addiction is a cunning little bitch. I've never been a big drinker, but in the past month I've had a lot going on, and I started drinking heavier and heavier until about a week ago I looked at myself in the mirror and said dude, you're miserable, you look freakin horrible, let's stop this shite before it gets worse. Called drinest friend who lives a few states away now and asked him how he stopped drinking, he said I called you and remembered I have friends that love me and don't want to bury me at 30. Haven't had a drink since.

I don't see it as gaining traction as religion rates decline nearly as much as I see it gaining traction as the sheer size of the problem increases. The issue isn't just about their being homeless nor addicted, but it's their imposition of their problems on society in a scale that's increasing at breakneck speed due to ever-more-addictive drugs being created (see: fentanyl) which creates even more (and more dedicated) addicts.
As this group grows, it will likely become more aggressive (as competition for society's largess increases). As that aggression increases, society's tolerance for them lessens.

Careful opening that door, Adolf. A lot of “for humanity” additions can be made to that slippery slope much quicker than you expect. May find it hitting close to home, someday.
