My dog will smell up the house if we give him food with chicken or beef in it. It messes with his skin and coat too. Salmon based food only for him.

what is the dog food?

Had a Frenchie. Was a gas machine. Her previous owners had her on the cheap stuff. Got her on the high-protein grain-free food and it went away.

Why are you sharing living quarters with dogs? God put fur on 'em so they can live outside. Never understood people who have dogs and cats indoors. I guess they like having animal hair all over the furniture and bedsheets.

I have two English bulldogs. They also rip farts like crazy. We've never tried the yogurt, but we did switch to less dry food and more fresh pet.

One dog, no gas, other dog a Nazi gas chamber - anyone have experience with this??

Whatever food youre using try goat flavored instead of chicken or beef, if it is available. My lab is akin to a 10 year old boy and thinks farting is the height of hilarity but I broke that bitch from sucking egg and changed her food. She is a greedy fricker and never noticed the change. She hasn't had a problem since we changed. Yogurt will also work.

My dog suddenly started with that… it would not go away…took her to the vet and got some idiotic suggestions.

She is on prescription dog food and treats so has a very stable and consistent diet.. we switched from dry food to canned food and it appeared to help.. the canned prescription dog food is expensive so I tried just putting a little warm water in her dry food to soften it up.. appears to have worked …idk?.. I think maybe it breaks down easier and passes cleaner??? Idk ..but no more gas.

It’s just perplexing how one has no gas and the other is killing me.
Well, one has GI or allegery issues to the food you're using, and the other doesn't.

As the owner of a boxer, this is too relatable. His farts are both audible and smell disgusting.

Mine was the same, I miss my gassy girl

A kitten who adopted us had the gay problem every time she jumped up- the landing did it.
I almost named her Farty, but decided to go with a slightly dislexic Taffy. Fortunately she outgrew it.
Wish I'd known to try yoghurt

Well, that's the dumbest thing I've read today.

Why do people have hair?

The smelly one is a Boxer, isn't it?

He’s a mutt, but appears to have a lot of Boxer in him. I should have mentioned in my OP is that he always has smelly gas, but this was beyond his regular smelly gas. The gas coming out of that dog could be used very effectively as a chemical weapon.

I adopted a Frenchie a couple of years ago. Friggin gas machine. Changed her dog food to natural balance grain free formulas. Gas disappeared in a. couple of days.
