I am shocked, SHOCKED, that people forced to shelter in place and not see others for an extended period of time develop depression and anxiety.
If you tell people it's a plague, they will act like it's a plague, and Covid is now a scarlet letter.

Probably from being forced to wearing a mask and losing their freedoms.

Let’s just make up shite as we go when it comes to this virus. There is no rhyme or reason to it at all. The goal posts and long term ramifications change daily. It’s comical at this point.

Or that the media has led us to believe that getting the virus is a death sentence for you or your loved ones.

Is no one else disturbed by this???

So a group of people that make their living treating mental illness claim that millions of people have become newly mentally ill (and therefore of course need expensive "treatment"). Brilliant.

What in the hell does Covid not cause?

Of all things, they need it more than most all the others. This isn't the best way to go about getting it, though.

The study also found that people with a pre-existing mental illness were 65% more likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19 than those without.
Since when does mental illness make you more susceptible to a virus?

HELL I don’t have covid and my mental state is shite. When I was yelling at my son and husband to just shoot me as I will NOT live “not normal” well that was my tell all.
Meds are a wonderful thing.
I know its been stressful, in fact stressful might not be a strong enough word. And I think most of us thought this would have been over with by now and there are still things we have always taken for granted that I still forget isn't normal. Something as simple as wanting to go eat at a certain restaurant. There was a place I wanted to go last weekend and found out that they were only at 50% capacity and you had to have a reservation, which no tables were available that night.
We used to have a card game every Monday, that's been put on hold since March (there are older men who play).
There are people I would see on a regular basis that I haven't seen since February or March, but when you start getting stressed, down about things, etc you have to try to look at the things to be thankful for as well. There is always someone who has worse. Also, do you mediate or do breathing exercises? Even if its just for 10-15 mins a day, if you do it you will feel better. Just clear your mind.
This is a good time to learn that you can never take things for granted.

100%. I was on the “COVID is bullshite” train until my 2 month old got it from us. Since then, my anxiety has been higher than it’s been in years. He had a low fever for a day & was otherwise fine, but it triggered all of those fears after 9 months of hearing it’s a death sentence.

Why not just go for 100%?
BTW, I know at least a dozen who have had COVID and none have mental illness.

We’re getting mental illness because all common sense has gone out the window and we’re letting a virus that is milder by far than other plagues hold the world hostage

From my brief skim, this looks like a really tight scientific study. Lol.

Liberal progressives will do whatever it takes to instill fear in the population giving them more power/control.
