I don't think I ever got to see them straight up (I honestly can't remember), but I did see Gibby Haynes sing Jesus Built My Hotrod at a Ministry show. I think he was just as high as when they recorded it in studio...

Yeah, they're only the band who's lead singer "played" a 12 gauge shotgun during their shows by firing blanks over the crowd (or at least used to). Despite the shocking nature of their band name, they were the 90's version of Ted Nugent in that regard.
And there is nothing more "straight male pureblood" than that...

Sophomore in HS. It’s funny looking at this list and the memories associated with the songs. I can’t say that any were especially my favorites or anything, but I can recall most of the music videos from MTV. For some I have a memory of a time and place when I may have listened to it. For some an association of specific people. I remember being at Blockbuster Music when my friend bought that STP CD, or the first time I heard down because someone was singing it by my locker, or getting drunk with Burden in My Hand in the background, staring at Jewell’s melons when the music video came on. Weird how old songs are associated with random memories that you didn’t even know were there.
