Still doesn't make any sense even though I now know what KDSS and GST are.
Tried to go to website to build a Tundra and I felt like I was in 2006. Terrible website.

Nope it's an odd model but I guess it works.

Consumer Reports, but you need a login to view. Tundra (and most other Toyota models) are #1 in reliability.
What's probably confusing you is that reliability doesn't equal customer satisfaction ratings, those vary from service to service.

So I guess Consumer Reports is the only reliable source for this information?

You asked him for a source (implying he couldn't provide it) and now that he has sourced his claim, from a highly reputable publication, you are trying to lampoon it?
Your obsessive hate for the Tundra is making you look silly.

Looking at f150 crew cab 4x4.
XLT with 302a package.
Is 37k doable?

Get the V-8. Properly maintained, it will last 200k+ miles. Turbos do not last that long. And if you can pay $40-50k for a truck you can afford the few less MPG compared to a 4 or 6 cylinder.
This is totally false. We have rigs in our fleet that have almost 500k miles on them still running the same turbos. Maintenance is everything when it comes to a turbo'd vehicle.

How much is Toyota paying you to knight for their trucks that finish last in all the comparisons?
He named a source, but can't show what they actually say, where as I named a source and what they did say. The Tundra is mediocre. It does nothing well but piggy back off the Toyota reputation, and have "seat of the pants" feel.
ETA: Downvote away. Doesn't change the fact that the Toyota does nothing better than its competition.

That's a sweet truck. My only issue is the center console cover King Ranch logo that is stitched in rubbed my arm something fierce. I have no idea how that got past preproduction.

Buying from a Dealer in Florida

I'm not impressed with the leather on my KR at all
73k miles and the leather is on the verge of peeling on the seat cushion where you get in and out of the truck

Thanks. I'll probably just cover the console with tampons for comfort.

I know it sounds prissy, but it's a horrible design. I took a King Ranch home for the night last week and everyone I showed it to and let drive it agreed. They are sweet looking though. What color did you go with?

If I recall right, they don't even use leather from King Ranch like they did in the first gen King Ranches. I feel like I read that somewhere.
Posted on 6/7/16 at 9:03 pm to LNCHBOX
It's definitely different leather. The first gen had crazy thick leather that looked like it'd been ripped right off a cow. My brother's King Ranch now definitely has nice leather, but it's not bonkers like the first gen. Still, really, really badass truck. Nicer than mine for damn sure!

Yes, I just got one with 302a, 5.0, tailgate step, spray in bed liner and a couple of other options for $37.5K. It stickered for $53.
