I have no problem believing he got that much off. It is doable if you shop, and he shopped.
As to getting a Tundra "for the same price, or less", well, maybe. A lot of that depends on when you buy and what the dealer has available when you're ready to buy. Toyota only sells 100K Tundras per year and in many cases, the dealers aren't as apt to deal.
Ford sells 500K F-150s every year and if you look, you can find a dealer that is more aggressive.
If the OP is still in this thread, here's a review of the 2016 F-150 Sport:

Don't buy the Ford because the bed splits when you drop concrete blocks in it.

Gotta get that MPG up there somehow.
Light parts, acid-dipped body panels...

Thanks!
By the way, I'm about to hit 4 months of ownership, and just turned over 1300 miles on the odometer.
The truck in you link looks like mine, minus the hideous red striping. After my initial hose issue, it's been solid, and I'm happy with my decision. I even used my tailgate step once.

Being upside down in the parking lot will likely hurt your resale value.

Ouch, you found my one regret about my truck. I love that Blue Jean color.
Mine is the Grey/Charcoal color, and I like it, but every time I see a Blue Jean one, I wish I had that color.

quote:Thanks! My last slew of vehicles have been silver or gray so as soon as I knew the platinums came in this color, i knew this is what I wanted. They had to go from Slidell to Memphis to get this exact one though. It was tough to find one with black interior and not the brunello in stock.
