Carry on smart water people. Thank you for your replies. Good luck to all you who reside around this alligator bayou.

I think the fact that I-10 opened up again is a cause for optimism even though water is rising. It has to start moving East again soon

Bluff Swamp was 12.14'@ 8p. (.36"/hr)

Bayou Fountain dropped 1/8 of an inch (15.15') so that water is still predominantly coming from Manchac.

Funny how one could be impassible tomorrow and the first is dry as a bone. Weird

74 likely won't be passable by that oak alley entrance because that's the low spot of 74.

This is going to really suck if that water keeps flowing over alligator bayou and makes its way to new River

Correct. It's a big positive.

St amant should start going to the Amite and manchac should quit dumping to the swamp.

Bad thing is, you have lots of water in places it's never been and it'll take a long time to get out, but all progress is good progress.

The shite just needs to quit coming up. All that southeast wind today is making the situation worse. And as much as I hate to say it, the longer this drags on the greater the odds of getting a tropical storm/hurricane dropped in to compound the problem.

Who all would be impacted in that scenario?

Yeah, I saw somewhere that those waves are gonna start pumping out across Africa. There's already one now. We get one of those and we can all kiss our arse goodbye
