74 is the one they need to open
just by what i could see from Bluff, it's probably pretty close.... that's one of the lowest spots, and the water is pretty much almost gone....
i expect Wednesday, thursday at the very least...

Barricade up on Bluff but saw someone able to drive through the water while state trooper watched. Other cars lined up to do the same. Is this common practice? And no, it's too far up the road for the "driving home what's your address" routine.
I am going to try it today. Bluff from 74 to Perkins.

Is that the only part of 74 that is covered with water? I'm looking forward to reconnecting with 30

Only part of 74 that is closed is in front of Oak Alley Estates at the base of Bluff Road. It has minimal water on it but apparently enough to not let people pass yet. State Trooper still on guard.
Bluff Road has more water but no police presence and people are passing through with extreme caution.

I just check Bluff just past Bluff Oaks. Probably too deep still for a car. Could try it in a truck. Not at night. Maybe another day or two before it's open.

Correct.
But some disturbing news:
I heard on the radio this morning, although not clearly, that there is some structural damage on 74 and it might need repairs as opposed to just removing water. Not exactly sure where or what, but that was the gist.

Prolly just the acid water eating the hardware out of the Braud bayou bridge. No concern here.

Well!!
Looks like that is all wrong.
74 now open! Just passed it.
Yet they've re-blocked off Bluff.
