Is Bayou Paul Rd still under evacuation? My parents are trying to convince me that it's okay to return home.

I'd suspect that water is still coming that way as long as Manchac is dumping into Bluff Swamp?

Don't think thats a good idea

For the first time in two days I noticed the water physically moving trash South. Up until this point it has been mostly stagnant on the Spanish lake side with a slow rise (I've been monitoring hourly since Saturday).
I assume this means it found its way into a new floodplain? Can anyone confirm it has fully crossed 74 or bluff south of Ridge Road?

PSA: just went check 74 at the front of OA. Its rising slowly and there's a decent chance it won't be passable in the morning

Oh and the damn ants are terrible. The entire road is just an ant corridor right now.

Yeah. We're basically dying a slow death. All the focus has been on pace of the rise, seems to be turning more towards the duration being an issue

Thanks. First entrance ok?

Not quite sure what it means, but I do know it's going somewhere new. Only other thing I can think off would be the road sprung a bigger leak, but I'm still only measuring about 0.5" an hour so don't believe that to be the issue.

What's the elevation that it'll start spilling out of Spanish lake? At some point the water draining into Spanish lake will start draining to New River Canal (based on the observation that it's starting to run over Highway 74 by Bluff Rd), right? Won't that essentially limit the height the water will get to?

That water is rushing over the road for at least 1/2 mile probably
