The University of Mississippi, more commonly known as Ole Miss, will begin offering the two-year graduate program in the fall of 2024. The school wanted to provide a stepping stone for people hoping to advance their careers or break into the evolving cannabis or supplements space. Since there is a crossover between the two fields, officials at Ole Miss wanted to appeal to a broader demographic of potential students.

How boring.

Trashy

Nah. Getting black out drunk at a college football game and fighting in the stands is trashy.
Alcohol is way more trashy, and dangerous. It's just more accepted, for some reason

So... what are they going to do when it gets legalized recreationally? Or are they counting on that never happening in Mississippi?

So Mississippi State grads grow it, and Ole Miss grads sell it.

I’d love to see the percentages for people showing up for the tests, either way, cause it would be interesting….

And you still can't find a major university that offers a chiropractor degree.

Mississippi is already ranked ahead of Louisiana in multiple metrics including education

Of course they are because Louisiana is giving them our money. Ole Miss will have lots of nice things now.

They do have a federally licensed program to study weed

Under federal regulations dating back to the late 1960s, only a single licensed entity – the University of Mississippi — is permitted to cultivate cannabis for clinical research purposes.

This monopoly has stifled clinical investigations into the marijuana plant. Notably, the cannabis grown by the university is often of poor quality and typically fails to reflect the wide variety of strains and products commonly used by the general public.

Well considering you literally need an 18 on the ACT and/or a 960 on the SAT in order to gain admission this seems about right.
