The University of Mississippi, more commonly known as Ole Miss, will begin offering the two-year graduate program in the fall of 2024. The school wanted to provide a stepping stone for people hoping to advance their careers or break into the evolving cannabis or supplements space. Since there is a crossover between the two fields, officials at Ole Miss wanted to appeal to a broader demographic of potential students.

Sounds like the perfect third or fourth try at a career for the college life all star.

But don’t worry, this will be the career that sticks.

We’ll know we’re in trouble when MIT starts offering theology degrees on video game next.

This. I hear stoners and potheads talking about how they’re gonna get into the weed business, and they’re gonna make bank. BS. The people who will become the most successful in this industry will be the smart/successful business owners and scientists. Not the druggies. Just add this to the list of worthless degrees you can get for $25K a semester.

I'm sure it's got a lot more agriculture and pharma focus than my MBA had.

Just in time for some of the new studies.

quote:

— Older adults who don’t smoke tobacco but do use marijuana were at higher risk of both heart attack and stroke when hospitalized, while people who use marijuana daily were 34% more likely to develop heart failure, according to two new non-published studies presented Monday at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia. Many Americans wrongly believe exposure to marijuana smoke is safer than tobacco, study finds “Observational data are strongly pointing to the fact that … cannabis use at any point in time, be it recreational or medicinal, may lead to the development of cardiovascular disease,” Robert Page II, chair of the volunteer writing group for the 2020 American Heart Association Scientific Statement: Medical Marijuana, Recreational Cannabis, and Cardiovascular Health, said in a statement.

“Thank God I live in Louisiana”

Quite the opposite: Louisiana will be left behind on tax funds and other revenue streams. Mississippi is going to blow past La in about 10 years.

It’s sad how they’ve basically made good safe medicines like opioids illegal and made dangerous street drugs like marijuana legal
