Bill Goldring just bought right on the golf course in the OM.

Northline has some gems. I like Farnham Place much better though. I have always want to live on that street since I was little.

OM is the best neighborhood in New Orleans area if you can afford it.

I see the Old Metry folks are all in a tizzy. I'll take my geographic cues from the YatMap as to where Old Metry is and is not!. You will note that the last time we had a murder in OLD METRY was the Big Lee Murder!

So did you just not look at the map or don't know how to read it?

There are a couple for sale there right now, make your move!

Every time my family is out for a walk we pass the two big, deep empty lots on Falcon that are one house off of Pontiff Playground. Would be an incredible place for an incredible home.

I don't care what your map says; old metairie is between causeway and orleans border on the West and East, and south of I-10 but north of airline.

The people who include the area between vets and i-10 probably live there and bought the houses so they could say they live in old metry, but it aint.

If you can ride a bike to jiggers without crossing under i10, you aren't in old metairie, sorry.

Disclaimer: I don't live in Old Metairie, but the truth is the truth

North of i10 is about as Old Metairie as Bucktown.

His daughter built a house right near Country Day. His son has that monstrosity at the corner of St Charles and Octavia.

They were building that house for the first 10 or 15 years I lived in Louisiana.

That’s actually an area called Harlem Subdivision, it’s been a quiet pocket of black residence for years...

I won’t deny that Shane isn’t Westbank trash, but he didn’t really stumble into money.

All those houses along the I-10 corridor were built at the same time, I-10 was built in the sixties. Now all of a sudden Old Metairie is just south of I-10

Houses were torn down and families were relocated when they built it..

That's all well and good. They are different neighborhoods for all intents and purposes now.

I'm still laughing at the bright person who developed those three houses on the tiny lots on Bonnabel right north of I-10 and originally listed them around $900K.
All three are still for sale.

The “old” doesn’t mean the area is old

That’s where the old money went
