10. In 5th grade the teacher would write on the board and I asked to move closer to write down what she wrote. She sent a note home to mom.

If you’re talking readers, it was eerily close to my 50th birthday.

64.5 and still don't need them. Do use readers to read tiny labels on somethings. I'm like 20/30 in both eyes.

I more than qualify. Had good vision until my early 40's and started with normal glasses to correct my vision. By the time I was in my early 50's I had developed an astigmatism in my left eye and found out bifocals would be a better fit and went with them.

At first it was lined bifocals and I hated them and then next pair I went with lineless and they were much better. I've been in bifocals for 20 years and luckily there has been no change for the worse the last 5 years or so.

It is what it is and you just have to roll with it. I did check into Lasik but was told at the time I would not be a good candidate and at this point in time I really don't want to go through that just to not wear glasses if the technology advances to help me.

Early 40’s. Used readers for awhile but it got progressively worse so just invested in some progressive lenses. Total game changer. I wear them all the time now. No more taking the frames off

Got glasses in my thirties to fix an astigmatism, probably could have used them all my life. I have very minor corrections otherwise now in my 40's. I actually got them to read the board when I went back to school.
