Lawmakers at the Ohio Statehouse want to study and document the past 400 years in what they are calling the Quadrennial Challenge: Justice and Equality for All.

The two year study would delve into the depths of African American history and provide insight into their accomplishments and tribulations.

“Information that we will obtain over this two year study will help direct us to improve the status of all Ohioans,” said State Senator Vernon Sykes.

The bill does call for the use of some taxpayer dollars, it is unclear exactly how much it will cost and as it is early in the process that amount could change as the legislation is worked on.

The bill will have to be reintroduced in the next general assembly once it starts in a few weeks, and lawmakers Tuesday said they are prepared to do just that.

That’s the cost of doing business with black people, I guess.

Pretty sure this has been documented by lots of people for a long time.

But if they’re paying, I know how to write.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

It sounds as if they basically want to spend money to showcase black accomplishments, which is great and all, but why can't we use existing resources for this?

I will never be in favor of any bill for any reason going to vote that doesn't have a clear stated cost to the taxpayer.

Why tax dollars? All you need is an ancestry.com account. Get the NAACP to fund it.

Racial identity politics education has been pushed on them since adolescence. Political leveraging for public dollars is all they know how to do now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't libraries kind of accomplish this already?

I bet Ohio doesn't have a Ohio Legislative White Caucus

Sorry, but if blacks want to blame anyone in 2018, they need to blame themselves for their tribulations. No one is alive from back in the day and idk what else can be done to end this shite.

Yaya racist, whatever.

Yeah, any such "inequality" has been paid out and then some by the welfare benefits drawn since the 1960s.

Thank you for calling.

I am a bit suspectful that this effort is preliminary work for #reparations.

Prove me wrong.

Over 70% of AA children grow up in single parent households. Up from 30% since the 1970s.

But screw trying to fix that.

Lets spend taxpayer money to see if their problems are due to their great grandparents living under Jim Crow.

All of the SUCCESSFUL minorities have NO special representation. No cable TV channel. No minority caucus. No beneficial affirmative action....

The most UNSUCCESSFUL minorities have all of these things..... makes you wonder right?

And the absolute kicker.... the checkmate..... BLACK Africans, with much darker skin then BLACK Americans..... have much greater success in this country......across all spectrums........ makes you wonder right?

Can you play the race card when comparing black to black? I'm sure black Americans will figure out a way.
