It's not fake, just means they are being paid to play her songs more.

Maybe she should focus on not letting AI write a terrible "country" song for her and actually do good music.

Nobody gives a shite about your skin color if you make quality country music.

And the first "country" song she put out is not good and does not even really sound country (even in a day when country music spans a wide range of sounds).

Why can’t she just stay in her lane? She’s pop just like her Saltine Sista Taylor Swift.

My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant," she wrote.

This is already the case. Does the thought not occur to her that it could possibly be that the music she makes and calls country, is just terrible.

Why should we welcome someone who is culturally appropriating our music?

I don’t remember any true attempt years ago. She probably expected to be worshipped without earning it. She seems to just want to play victim or complete some arc as an “artist” than truly show respect to country music genre and its fans.

Blacks self exclude themselves from country music but of course it’s blamed on White people.

Wouldn’t this fall under appropriation of a culture Dems and blacks always complain about?

New day and age with sales.

Check out the weekly sales for Albums in 1998.

Billboard 200 Album Sales of 1998 - Weekly

Snoop Dogg's "Da Game Is to Be Sold Not to Be Told " under No Limit Records sold 246,000 the week of 8/29.

Not really an attempt but she performed with the Dixie Chicks on the CMA Awards about 5 years ago. I think that’s what she’s referring to. But if you want to do country music then just do country music. I don’t feel like an explanation is needed.

WTF

"Black woman hits #1 on Country chart, but we still think she can't overcome being black in Country music"

Do these people hear themselves?

Jesus Christ dude. Enough already. How much more of these sob stories do we have to read before the majority of the country finally gives in to race fatigue. Take your billion dollars and stop talking about it.
