Good ole baw Tennys Sandgren, who made the quarters twice there, did that and just said "I'm out."

Honestly, it would be hysterical if in our media and celeb driven society Novak Djokovic would be the 21st century version of the Archduke Ferdinand.

The serbs would mop the floor with your average aussie cop these days too. Bin that kniofe? I dont think so pally.

I'd love to know their stance on vaxxing the Aborigines. That should be interesting.

Wow, what kind of stupid due you have to be to not recognize that the #1 tennis player in the world and worldwide sports personality, who isn’t from your country, has a full itinerary all over the world.
Hey, you knuckle dragging wankers, you Invited your reigning champion to appear and defend his title in your home country and tournament set upon the world stage and this is how you treat your guests?

If he knows he made false statements then has the balls to stay there he deserves everything he gets.
That would be stupid to do in a foreign country no matter the situation.
If he does stay and play it is going to epic.

Seriously, why has he not done that already?

Because he’s being detained in a jail like holding facility. He cannot leave

Australian Jail? No way that happens. Apparently, the Serbian PM & Australian PM have already been having discussions.

Unless the Serbian PM is successful, Novak will be kicked out of the country. I doubt he will go to jail. Australia already deported Czech women's tennis player Renata Voracova after cancelling her visa on Jan 8.

Australian government making an example out of him. If he lied, then just send him back. No need for jail time. Australia has lost its mind w/covid.

I don't think so.. I think he is still fighting it so he can play in the tournament. He has the freedom to give up & go home, if he chooses.

Djokovic originally had his visa refused on 6 January, soon after landing in the state of Victoria, and was detained.

This refusal was overturned by a judge in court on 10 January, and the Australian Open favourite has since been able to train in Melbourne.

The global media coverage which would descend on Australia and bring to light the atrocities the government there put its people through would be worth it.

All of global mainstream media is complicit in this COVID bullshite.

They won't hold Australian government's feet too close to the fire.

Australia's two biggest exports are the Australian Open and Crocodile Dundee. And Djokovic is the undeniable king of the Open. Australia has dug this hole so deep that whatever they do now will make them look even more stupid.

The scenario that I'm hoping for is that they clear him to play, but he withdraws just before his first match after giving a little wave to the crowd.
