I was lucky to get to buy 2 floor tickets at Jerry World for face value. Put them on Stubhub when I finally got the seat locations and was able to make a couple grand on the pair.

There has to be a way to limit it to a household with a physical address or something. So unfair to the fans.
The Cure did it this summer. Resale only on ticketmaster and only for face value. It can be done if the performer cares.

Ticketmaster set up a system that allowed scalpers to set up bots to influx the system with emails for a few days. There was no downside to anyone here setting up a dozen email addresses to try and get the lottery for tickets.

Exactly this. I understand that bots and scalpers overwhelm a normal release but is giving everyone a chance to make a million burner emails really any better?

Ouch. I didn't realize the performer had that much say. Oh well, I would absolutely see her again if the price was "normal", but nowhere near $1700 a ticket!

Way back in the day Pearl Jam tried to set up some kind of an alternative ticketing system for their shows as a big F you to Ticketmaster.

I don’t remember the details but it didn’t go well at all

They better resurrect Tupac and Biggie for a joint concert at that price.

Bob Dylan says hello.

You don't go see Bob fricking Dylan because he's a world class vocalist. No one has ever said he is such.

Anti-hero is a decent song and that's about it. I get it that a lot of girls like her music, but these prices are absurd. But, if you're a parent you want to give your kid memorable experiences, so I get it.

Honest question. Would we be better off if we went back to having to go to the pavilion on a certain day to buy tickets?

Would it help prevent scalpers from so easily buying tickets?

When I was able to buy 6 tickets for Houston my wife and daughter did not want me to sell the remaining tickets for a premium. I totally plan on selling my extra 2 this time.

Ha! I remember this. Trying to take down "the man" lol. I saw them at Tad Gormley Stadium in 1995. Also a great concert!

I don’t think you can list fan-verified tickets on Stubhub, SeetGeek, etc. You can sell to a friend or FB market and transfer I’d assume.
