These two guys may end up being the face of this tragedy. Two dudes just trying to make a change in their lives instead of bloodthirsty terrorists.

That's sure what it seems like on its face. But, I suppose it's hard to fault people from being skeptical and speculating otherwise, at this point and until more is actually known.

Where can we see the path of the flight up to the point where ATC lost radar contact?

Here's a quick google sketch from how I have read the stuff out there. Civilian Radar lost it at some point where it made it's western turn, some guy in the Malaysia military is saying Malaysia military radar had it near the island I marked with the A icon.

I think the evidence discussion put him in a "fowl" mood.

On 911 the terrorists tuned them [the transponders] off from the cockpit which is why it was so hard to know where the planes were.
This is not true.

On a map, that looks so fricked up. I don't know what to even think about it.

That is definitely headed in the general direction of the Middle East.

My current theory is attempted hijacking and eventual crash, possibly due to crew or passenger intervention.

It was near an island. Jack, Sawyer, and Kate are the only triangle in this story.

Anyone remember Payne Stewart's plane crash? Plane took off in Florida, depressurized at altitude and literally flew across the country with everyone on board dead until it ran out of fuel and crashed.

I wonder if something similar may have occurred here as well?

That flight path is really weird.

Could this be a situation like what Bo Rein was in? Some kind of loss in cabin pressure causing hypoxia in everyone on board but the plane kept it flying for a while until it crashed?

That sharp turn is just strange. Maybe they were trying to return to the airport?

Yes.. Did my first 4 years with the P-3, and now on the maiden deployment with the P-8. I'm just the radar/esm guy anyway, I just try to act like I know what the acoustics are doing.
