That may be a stretch. All they have to do is move to japan and they'll fit right in. Or grow a beard.

true...had a bald head/face........could be easy to grow some hair/beard and blend in

Can someone give me Cliffs on what is happening here or direct me to a recent page with Cliffs? I've been following in main stream media a bit. But it appears that what I'm following has none of the good plausible conspiracy theories and confirmation of anything on this appears lacking and I don't have time to read 256 pages although I will likely keep up once I'm up to speed. Thanks.

If this was someone like the Uighers wouldn't they want to keep the hostages as trade bait to get their own people released?

confirmation of anything
There is no confirmation of anything other than alot of guys on this board have a huge erection thinking about and talking about the muslim hijacking theory.

hijacking is the only option at this point

Well, it is an interesting case.
I like reading the surprise and awe most have when they find out how much control a pilot really has.
Also following the 777 going to Spain names a lot of sense. Would get 370 to the middle east undetected.

pilots probably got paid off and will live a new life somewheres in the world later on...maybe have a surgical change to their faces to change their looks ect
If that scenario is true the pilots may have thought they were getting paid off but they were killed when that puppy landed
Unless they are being held to fly it later

Watched a US Representative from Texas this morning...he seemed to indicate that it is the US intelligence community belief that this thing went south into the India Ocean.
Watched another former FAA executive this morning and he said it would be impossible to fly all the way to the ME at 5,000 because of fuel consumption at that altitude.
However, he did say that absolutely nothing about this makes any sense.

I would go with this route. Pilots get a lot of scrutiny when going through classes for these big jets now. Better to keep someone around that has proven themselves willing to do what is necessary that is already fully trained and more than capable to run a successful mission.

So far, whomever is behind this makes us (the rest of the world) look incompetent.
The radar, satellites, etc., even here in the US, are not perfect, nor complete. These guys made a plan to take advantage of that. They seem to have succeeded thus far.

Are there bathrooms in the cockpit so that pilots don't have to leave the area during flight?

Regarding shadowing another plane, how easy is it to do that? Does the 777 have a radar data that lets them see location of other planes around them?

What we learned today was minimal but with the aircraft knowing flying at 5000 ft, it tells us that whoever was in charge was trying to avoid radar.
It was confirmed that it was the copilot who made the last transmission of alright good night.
Everything keeps pointing to not a suicide mission but a planned hijacking with multiple people involved.

Yes, they can see all other transponder equipped planes in the area.

We also learned the Captain's family moved out of their house the day before the plane disappeared.

Hopefully one major change that comes from this is that a plane will always be tracked in some way.
