If true it isn't fair to send these cops into a war zone undermanned and with orders basically telling them to walk on eggshells when they do it.
IMHO should have had guardsmen at every business front door in the city. If it took thousands, call them up.
I think you severely over estimate the ability of the National Guard my man.

I don't get why the news continues to question releasing the report at 8:00 at night. If this was going to be the reaction, isn't it best that all of the schools are empty and the majority of businesses had the chance to get away from that part of town as well?

the African-American community needs to take a real hard long look at themselves, and fix their issues.
Healing starts from within and that community is far from it.

Millhaven was on O'Reilly tonight. And he made a point I think everyone missed. A judge from a neighboring community, Pinelawn, is on the legal team for Michael Brown. Pinelawn had 23,457 arrest warrants pending in 2013. Population: 3,275
That's just absurd.
And I'm not sure everyone realizes the government cluster that exists in St. Louis. First, the City is not part of the County. It's a separate entity, with it's own LE, government, taxes, etc. The County is made up of literally dozens of municipalities, all suburbs of the City, ranging in population less than 100 to tens of thousands. How big is Chesterfield now, anyway? Most of these little municipalities have their own LE, city councils, even some public works. It's crazy how much "government" is there. Lots of officials wanting their piece of the pie, and being all important and stuff.

Safety I am a very open minded person but your stance using the past is just stupid. Why does your generation constantly dwell on something you nor your friends had anything to do with the past. I have worked and managed older black guys that lived during racial discrimination and they were some of the hardest working greatful people I have known. This generation of black youths are some of the most lazy ungrateful people I have seen. Older black people gave their lives to give you a better life. Quit living in the past and move along. There are a lot of great productive black people in this world. You cant change the past. There are some great posters on here that will tell you the same thing I just told you.

I don't know what you expect from Barack -- he's a civil rights lawyer that worked in communities that were disproportionately targeted by unfair policing. That's his background..will he stray from it to make you happy?
He's been rather "Tame" on the issue--Ie he hasn't been community activist Barry with these issues. that's not his place anymore but I think he's bit his tongue on his use of rhetoric

I hope at 1:30 they give people 30 minutes to get their asses home and institute martial law until daybreak.

I was simply responding to a post saying the FPD needs to be shut down. It does, but not for reasons associated with this case. So it really doesn't have anything to do with these protests, but it was an accurate statement. STL County needs to take it over.

Perhaps, but I would hope any warm body with a shogun full of beanbags would be better than nothing.

Given that the facts of the case show there was no unfair policing, I'd say ya he should stray from it. Next

I'm surprised there weren't more people guarding their businesses.
But we've become pretty soft as a society. I wouldn't be ready to do it myself, so maybe not so surprised.
