Moisture really struggled across SE Texas today. Post frontal winter weather always has a tough time in the south. The low over the Gulf was able to strengthen and squeeze out more moisture over south La.

Steady misting drizzle in Carriere MS.

Looking into the streetlight some floating particles but nothing seems to be freezing yet but it’s damn close

17° currently. 5° still the forecast low. About an inch of sleet on the ground to help cooling.

WGNO FB just posted models showing freezing rain going further south than expected.

What’s up?

Power officially out. Pine tree across the street already shedding limbs. Has a massive lean.

Good luck. Our power is beginning to flicker.

Shined a spotlight at the lines, looked like light sabers.

Probably what happened to us. We had a couple power blinks over a couple hours, then it flickered 4-5 times and went completely out. Been out about a half hour now on the west side of Lafayette. Luckily we’ve got the fireplace lit to keep the house warm.

I would not drive into BR tomorrow at all unless you absolutely have to…

I am no expert or pretend to be one, but I think the roads are going to really suck in the morning

Ole lady just found out she doesn’t have to be in to work until later tomorrow, and the Conway is turned up.

People ask why cold is better than 100°. No one delays work in that heat.

Do you think Chick-Fil-A will be open? I'm guessing they might open at Noon? What's CFA stances on Southern Ice?
