It might work. It will cripple the already poor. People will make light of it on this board but this is going to do some serious damage.
Yea, there are plenty of people living paycheck to paycheck that cannot afford to take off of work to watch their grade school-aged kids.

I thought all of this was to get rid of old people to save social security. Now we gonna send our infected kids to mawmaws house to speed up the process

My state has announced schools closures too
My parents who are retired and spend most of their time at a lake house alone, are now actually booking a flight to travel here and stay with the kids.
You can’t make this stuff up

I don't know about teachers, but it looks like students won't.

We don’t want this.
It doesn't matter if you want it or not, if the days aren't made up (which I'm assuming they will be), then you shouldn't get paid for work that isn't performed.

President is about to address the nation now. If he declares a National Emergwncy, funds will be available to address some of these things.

it's imperative we keep kids away at home so they don't infect each other and pass it on to the grandparents!!1

Teachers still have to report to work, from what I understand. Students are the ones who stay home.

Absolutely. Their contracts are yearly, not by the hour.
