You're wanting so bad for this kid to not be associated with the agenda you've so willing fallen for hook, line, and sinker. People like you have pushed the progressive agenda to violence and now the horse shoe theory is in full effect. Newton's third law is unfolding before our eyes and one side is pushing it.

Radicalized by leftist media, universities, and reddit, no doubt.
What a cesspool.

I deeply suspect most academics are sympathetic to the shooter. They literally think they are above holding accountable due to their credentials.
Lol. Kid murdered a political activist with a sniper shot at a public event, likely severely traumatizing a few hundred people that saw it live, and you think most academics are sympathetic to the him?
For every moron social sciences Prof with a hyphen in their name and a ROYGBIV bumps sticker on their Subaru, there are a hundred business, math, and science professors that are largely level headed and pragmatic.

Kinda sounds like you're a little upset the suspect is not someone that looks like a typical left wing person

Good on the Father for doing the right thing. Know this, just because his father did this and the kid confessed, no leniency should be given. The penalty is Death (preferably by firing squad)

I cannot imagine the distress the father and the family feels about this.
Obviously, the father is a fine man or else he would not have surrendered his son. As you know, the State had already indicated he would be seeking the death penalty.
At the same time, I cannot imagine the distress the family of Charlie Kirk feels.

And let’s be honest, if you have any appreciation for the Constitution as we know it (and I know plenty of folks who do) you don’t want people exercising their First Amendment right getting assassinated in places where free speech should be allowed without violence.
The blanket BS of assigning radical, extremist ideology to half of the country is madness. Most people are inbetween the extremes.

Goes to show you how little "book smart" matters these days. It is in no way synonymous with smart or intelligent.

Public k-12 is a much bigger problem than colleges and universities. People don’t want to admit that though because just about everyone sends their kids to public school.
Two of the biggest leftists that I know work in public education. They are the reason that my kids will never attend public school.
