The blanket claim that thousands of college students are being radicalized isn't valid.
To deny that there is a fundamental problem with children having their psyche warped after they go off to college is to deny the fact of the matter.
quote:No doubt that it is the petri dish that harbors the perfect environment for the growth of bad ideologies (like cheering at a gruesome assassination because of words), but on the other hand, without it, we would all be enslaved to whatever narrative they want to push. They told us the patriot act and a long war were fantastic additions to our republic. The dissenters were relegated to the back corners of the internet, and for the ones who made too much noise, they were shouted down because that's what they told us all to do.
Social media and the internet is the bigger issue.
At the end of the day, it always comes down to personal responsibility.

In all fairness, it appears a leftists did this and the people celebrating it online are all leftists, so the shoe fits.

These two are not mutually exclusive. They are directly correlated. There are thousands of college kids spending vast amounts of time on the internet and in gameroom chats immersed in depravity.
ETA: I think there are a lot of old people on this website who don't have proper appreciation for how awful gameroom chats and reddit can be. Put someone of weak constitution in that environment and they quickly rot and turn into those pencil necked ghost white internet meme nerds like this murderer.

They have no moral compass.
Yet most would scream in your face they need no religion or philosophy to "be a good person."
And we know they are liars.

think the larger problem on the left is you have moderate Democrats (that really are moderate) and then a sect of the party that has been co-opted by folks like the "Free Palestine" crowd and have pushed for a focus on extreme minority populations and the like. And it's just gotten more extreme from there.
The “moderate” democrats that I know realized about 5 years ago that they have more in common with modern day republicans than the do with modern day “progressives”.

Is supermax like the palace Kohberger's in with a streaming TV and internet-enabled tablet for entertainment? For people like this guy who voluntarily isolate themselves in a tiny room playing on the internet, that would be heaven. Meals all provided to you, no work.

I think your aim with this reply is misguided. I’ve drawn a pretty clear line in the sand in where I stand on this topic sir.

Wow, seems like this is exactly what I was guessing at yesterday.
Somewhat conservative home, young, white, male incel type. Probably indoctrinated by the education system/Internet.
I think the anti fascist angle will be a big part of the motivation.

I don’t doubt it but there were idiots everywhere saying all kinds of crazy shite about them flying in a sniper and all sorts of utter nonsense. It was a very easy shot. A “professional sniper” wouldn’t be taking a shot that distance. There’s not an old man that lives near me that can’t kill someone from 800 meters
