Terrible. The truth is the world is an evil place sometimes and we need God’s message more than ever. If more people took the 10 commandments seriously in their lives, this stuff wouldn’t happen as often

Honestly I'd rather take my chances with them than much of New Orleans.

Didn’t God supposedly kill off all but a few people in a global deluge? Didn’t God supposedly kill the first born of Egypt? Didn’t God supposedly rain fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah?

Pretty evil in my book.

Your downvotes don’t change the fact that killing children is evil.

Let’s keep the religious talk out of this thread

Went to NYC last week.

I was astonished by the sheer amount of garbage lining the streets, and the bums sitting around. Every single block. Even in lower Manhattan.

The subway stations were full of them sleeping on the benches, floors, and stairways.

That's on the other end of the spectrum than what it was 10-15 years ago. First time I went I was amazed at how clean a city with that many people was. Of course there was the occasional bum here and there, but nothing even approaching what you described.

Bloomberg left the republican party during the middle of his tenure as mayor. Followed by 8 years of DeBlasio. Now the city is back to where it was in the 70s it seems. Sad.

Yep, de Blasio fricked everything up, and then Covid was the icing on the cake. I lived in the City for about 15 years from 05-20. Was awesome to be in my twenties and thirties there, city felt so safe and fun. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry most of those years. The last year trying to stay afloat was near impossible. The restaurants use private companies for garbage removal, but the city stopped picking up the public’s. shite was piled high just sitting on the sidewalks, was awful. And then they forced everyone to eat outside and there were bums every panhandling and begging.

I never thought I’d leave. Haven’t been back since, and while I miss it, I’m not returning. Sucks what the city has become (again). I’m sure it will bounce back, but when? Sad.

Doesn't fit narrative for algorithms.

Someone made a mistake a labeled the suspect as a "black male" instead of juat "male"

Looks like several victims are Asians. And the perp is POC. Of course.

That won't be in the headline though. This is why there is a distrust for media that drives divisive narratives.
