work in VA healthcare. We see quite a few vets that come in here and proclaim weed as a wonder drug for anxiety. That is until, they imbibe less than the usual, then they come in begging for something to stave off the rebound anxiety.

It has few therapeutic benefits, and very limited at that. Anyone saying otherwise is full of shite. Oh yeah, and it smells like shite as well.

Hold up just one fricking minute here... are you telling me that legalized drugs is, in fact, not a good thing?

Next thing you're gonna try telling me is that bears shite in the woods!

Yall sound like a bunch of damn liberals when they talk about taking guns away. You can’t even grasp the reality that is thc use in this country. The genie isn’t going back in the bottle. How did it work with prohibition back in the day? A bunch of boomer retards

So if you walk outside and can smell it that strongly that means you live around a bunch of habitual pot smokers.
I do, it’s really bad

I’m not on Nextdoor but my friend that lives on the next street says it’s not just my street.

I take it as part of how everyone has to inflict their shite upon you now. I don’t care if you’re lgbt, I don’t care your kid has a fundraiser and i sure in the hell don’t want to smell your smoke - whether it cigarettes or weed. But ppl don’t care what I want but I sure in the frick have to put up with their shite.

‘tolerance’ leads to ‘fatigue’

It's possible to drink a drink without getting drunk. If you fire one up, you're getting stoned. And holding a drink in your hand and drinking it doesn't affect others. Blazing away in public forces everyone else to have to deal with your rancid cloud.

But I was addressing the point of "just tax it and keep it out of the public". As one astute president once said, "Sounds good. Doesn't work". Because there's always the enforcement part of the equation.

What about alcohol? Probably not good for a 15/16 year old to be drunk either.

This is a literal "whatabout," and whatabouts are flawed because you're basically implying that two wrongs make a right.

It'd be nice if we could have a conversation one day about how teenagers shouldn't smoke weed without someone piping in about "what about alcohol."

How about neither?

Smoking cigarettes everyday are more likely to make someone lazier than smoking weed every day?

Whew, both are illegal for teens. Problem solved.

this is hilarious ever heard of a weed pen? And no there’s definitely levels to being high just like levels to being drunk. Taking one hit from a joint isn’t gonna make you start seeing funny colors and hallucinating like a looney tunes cartoon.

And alcohol use is down…. Which is worse?

I’d argue I’d rather be on the road with someone who just smoked a blunt , rather than drank 8-10 beers

marijuana-linked paranoia and chronic psychotic disorders

Have seen this personally with my brother in law. Don't know if it's the daily use obt itself or if it has just exacerbated existing, undiagnosed, mental health issues but he lives in his own reality and gets verbally abusive if you refuse to agree with that reality.

So it's not possible to use thc without blazing a fatty by yourself? Or do you think a toke of weed is like a hit of acid?

Regular (daily) THC use lowers testosterone and causes ED.

I drink daily and have neither of those issues.

Don't know about cigarettes...obviously pretty unhealthy.

Idc if people smoke pot or not that’s their business, but I’d like to not smell it at nearly every red light and everywhere in public.

It is horrendous. Its noticeable on the interstate at 80 MPH when a car in front of you is smoking. There is NO way the smelliest shite ever produced by a human being could be smelled in a car 3 cars back at 80 MPH with all windows rolled up.

My wife and I were at the theater a few months ago and a group of about 4 people came in and the whole damned place reeked of pot upon their arrival. Had they not bathed and used deodorant in a month there is no way they would have stunk up an entire auditorium...and if they had someone would have said something....it being pot no one said a word.

I spend most of my days behind one of the most secured gates on the east coast. Everyone on that side of the gate is subject to drug testing. 75% of the time in the evenings when thousands are leaving there is the stench of pot coming from someone's car....the idiots taking a chance on not only losing a 6 figure job but also being caught in possession of a controlled substance on a highly secured federal installation. Some folks just ain't very bright....

Oh frick that bullshite. Theres no conspiracy. People are already tired of smelling that shite at every drive-through, and dealing with the assholes that smoke it. They're becoming arrogant and pushy in public.
