So why would a large crowd be onsite before first responders?

Everyone in that neighborhood would have been well aware of this case at hte time. My GUESS is that once she showed up, whatever family was in the household probably was hooting and hollering and screaming once they saw her return, which caused neighbors to come out and probably try to take pictures themselves.

It's possible they had a lot of family and/or friends there supporting them while they awaited any news on her. They were sure there late at night, though, since it was after 10:30 that she showed up. However, the parents said they hadn't slept in days.

It's also possible that these were all the people that showed up at the Red Roof Inn earlier in the evening and they were all still together.

“Where exactly is that call coming from?”

“The call is pinging from that location.”

“We’re at .... Atkins Trimm Lane checking the back yard....Do you want to see if we can start getting her (Russell’s) phone pinged?”

Does that mean Russell’s phone was pinging that location or the SIL’s phone? Or both?

So if all these peeps were there when she showed up why were they standing in road? And police should have gotten any pics or videos off said peeps phones that might show how she arrived. More and more questions lol.

Some of y’all have never been around black people. They will absolutely hang around if there’s any chance of drama. Nurses around here had a code called BPD (black people drama).

It’s perfectly believable that they would roll up 6 cars deep to a motel and hang out in the porch til midnight

They are looking at cameras along the roadway from 150 that leads to the neighborhood attempting to track those movements.

Centerpoint

And to think that's where I spent my childhood. And parts of Centerpoint, Huffman, Roebuck moving towards Trussville/Grayson Valley had some very affluent areas. Rode through there the other day and it's almost unrecognizable in places.

At this point its starting to become irritating they are messing around to cover this up.

They know what happened. They know she lied.

As has been stated, they are likely making sure all of their ducks are in a row.

How could she have walked home and been unresponsive? I thought unresponsive meant that someone is not conscious in medical terms.

“Unresponsive”
Mom: “Bitch, where you been at?”

Mom: “Oh, you ain’t got nuthin ta say huh? Everybody out here lookin for your stupid arse”

The way I read that was that Carlee's phone was pinged at Atkins Trimme Lane which makes sense as that's where her car was. People here earlier said it was her friends phone that pinged there which was highly suspicious.

Not that all of this isn't still suspicious, but am I the only one who read the article that way?

Carlee called 911 to report seeing toddler on side of road hung up with them and then called brother’s girlfriend?

Doesn’t 911 keep you on line until first responders arrive?

I'm probably naive, but I didn't realize they can ping phones that fast

Your damn phone is a tracking device and it might take them a while to get a warrant to ping a random phone but when you call 911 they have that info instantly.

Eta: it's no different than calling from a landline and it showing the address and number.

The mom releases another statement...

No mention of Toddler. Addresses Red Roof Inn.

They are making this worse for themselves.
