You shouldn't complain about death threats if you're not willing to allow police to help you out.
It's funny how the parents wanted police help when they thought their daughter had been abducted, but turned on the police when they realized their daughter was the criminal that should be arrested!

What’s the holdup? Is LE getting this case buttoned up with no holes before they arrest her, or is this story gonna disappear like a fart in the wind?

Hard to say. The chief said they would like to talk with Carlee which isn't likely to happen unless some sort of deal is made. If she's retained an attorney, that may move things forward. There could be some negotiating going on. I think the chief said some other law enforcement agencies were still running some tests on evidence collected. I don't recall exactly what that was. Could have been some video enhancement.
I wish they'd go ahead and arrest her, but I'm sure they have good reason to wait. My impression of Hoover PD is that they are methodical and capable.

They’d have to get her to come in first. If she has an attorney, they might show him or her.

With what does Carlee and her family have to bargain with? The truth? She hasn't been truthful yet.
About the only thing I can think that can be negotiated is her turning herself in and having the bond prearranged where she can leave after she is booked until the arraignment.

Not true at all. Most parents wouldn't lawyer up and stonewall police when they were the ones spending countless hours trying to find their daughter only to discover it was a complete hoax!

It turned out to be a lot more like Gone Girl but Rosamund Pike’s character was a little sharper than Carlethia Nichole Russell. Whose first two names were misspelled on her birth certificate.

A plea agreement would save money and this story would die out eventually. That's about it, I suppose.
