Pair the sex bot with PS5 or X-Box game consoles and marriage is doomed.

Pretty sure statistically married men are happier and healthier overall.

absolutely correct. But its not the only factor.

I think divorce laws that favor the woman also have influenced young men to be averse to marriage.
Divorce is also part of the problem...once your married, Jesus has very strong opinions in the Bible about what happens in those circumstances.
People don't take the marriage vows they make in front of God very seriously.

We’re seeing the end results of feminism. They’ve created men hating women and demonized being male.

I think its fair to say many people don't take God very seriously. Its not one thing. Its a host of problems. But a better foundation in a Christian religion would go a long way to helping.
And I say that as someone who isn't particularly devout to his Catholicism.

My son is 24, has a great job, and married a great girl this past April.
Now I’m just waiting on the grandbabies to start rolling in.

Highly doubtful…. Most are not motivated to move out from moms house, Get an education that can financially support or even talk to a woman in person.

correct without God in the center, the foundation isn't strong and the other problems you are talking about get worse as you aren't in a stronger position to handle them.

1. What's going on w/ surging # unmarried men?
I really couldn't imagine myself being married to these tattoo'd, plastic lipped, entitled women nowdays. Glad that I don't have to deal with them on a regular basis...

If you are a high earner and have significant asset(s) there is literally no reason or need to get married. Its a losing proposition.

And yes, as stated, they have very little interest in an "average" guy. They either want the multimillionaire or they're going to be the rich wine aunt.
My counter to this is how many men are still living at home and largely lack the motivation to leave that situation? In the last 5 years, I've had a ton of parents come to therapy over kids that have "failure to launch".
What does the current job market look like for a 20 year old male? We know wages haven't kept up with the cost of living, especially when we consider the jump in the price of just about everything you need to live on your own has doubled (from groceries to construction materials).
Pretending this is a woman-only/feminist issue is being horribly naive and one-sided.

i hope you direct the blame at them and not their kid.

it's a chicken-egg scenario. feminism is certainly a huge part of it. cost of living issues are part of it as well, but a big piece of that is unrealistic expecations of an early twenties dude these days. many of them seem to think that they should be living an upper middle class lifestyle at 23 and anything less is because they are getting screwed over. women think the same way, probably more so even, which compounds the problem.

There's a couple of generations of women that are mostly awful. Gold-digging Only Fans thots, tricks, and hoes. Good luck weeding through the sluts to find a good one.

What gives me pause is they're talking about the demographic of ages 20 to 39.
Statistically, the average age of a first marriage for men today are right at 30 years old. The average in 2000 was right at 26 years old. That shift alone to getting married later would naturally create a large population of single men in the 20 to 39 year old range.
Is it that men just aren't getting married at all or they're just getting married later?
Mrs. udtiger and I were 23 when we got married way back when (early 90s)

Honestly, have you ever actually followed the lifestyle of an early 20s guy vs early 20s girl?
Theres an INSANE difference in lifestyle.
An early 20s guy would be totally okay living in a barren apartment with no furniture but you know what? A woman of his age would NEVER accept that. Women are the ones that demand the nice cars....nice vacations....big houses...etc.
Look at dating profiles...women are almost shameless when accounting for income...and their material wants. A man just wants a hot chick lol.
Who is more likely to drive a junky car in 2026? Men or women? I just dont think its even close that men are willing to drive and older car to save money.
Its absolutely totally wrong to equate modern early 20s males to females....the early 20s women live a FAR more luxurious lifestyle over men. Employed more, higher salaries...etc.
Please pay attention more.

generally speaking i agree but there are a lot more young men demanding this type of lifestyle than there used to be.
but yes, it's definitely more women than men.

The shithead dude in their 20s to kinda figured it out 30 something then marrying the last non-married late 20s girl of the friendgroup pipeline

Just look at all the Islamic countries. No jobs, no women, only thing to do is die for your religion.

I dont know why older folks have an issue with this...men's lifestyle expectations follow the increase in material lifestyles experienced in our civilization.
Somehow older folks think young men in their 20s should live like men in their 20s lived in the 80s...that makes absolutely no sense.
Why didnt the boomers live in cheap homes with no AC and no colored TV like their parents did?
You mean the expectations of young men parallel the technological and economic mprovements of society? Explain to me why thats bad.
The unrealistic expectations youll find are entirely with women, especially YOUNG women.
I think old men are just terrified at calling out women.
