If NPR is promoting the idea that a 2 parent home is better for kids, it's just their way of priming the audience for the subsequent show about the kids from two parent households having an unfair advantage and then the show will delve into the many different ways two parent households should be held liable for the inequities.

Data also shows education level of the parents makes a huge difference. College educated parents tend to divorce at much lower rates than those who just graduated from high school.

Each situation is different.
Great people come from one-parent homes and dipshiats from bad two-parent homes go on rampages.
The key is for the child to feel safe and loved either by one or two decent parents and not have one crappy parent in the loop!

I, and my two brothers, are from a broken home. All three of us have stable long-term marriages (we are all in our 60’s).
Sure, a child raised in a two parent home is more likely to have good outcomes in marriage and other things, but you overstate it.

NPR does NOT want stable families. No progressive does. The chaos caused by the unstable family fits right in with all of their initiatives to destroy the US from within.
All one has to do is post the sign again in the Smithsonian how stable family units are racist and unfair.

Many years ago Freakenomics (sp?) did a podcast on this topic. Simply put, having a married mom and dad (wife and husband) in the house produced the best outcomes for kids .
