I just looked up the body cam footage and details. They are trying to restrain the guy as he fights them and he ends up with a torn aorta.
The issue I have is that they obviously tried to cover this shite up and lied. And JBE absolutely knew it. But he’s a Democrat. With a “Republican” Lt. Gov. There will be no accountability.

And after they beat the hell out of him, they put him face down with cuffs in a position that was difficult for him to breathe for 9+ minutes.
It’s a disturbing video to be honest. I suspect the cop’s adrenaline was pumping after the high speed pursuit, and they went way overboard. But they had plenty of time to correct their behavior before the guy died.
So they concocted some bullshite stories about dying when his car hit a tree. And somehow got a coroner to release an inconclusive report. And told everyone the bodycam footage didn’t exist.

I love to see that jackass sweating and stammering and looking like he is about to burst into tears in every interview. Couldn't be happening to a better person.

I am a lawyer and I have never heard of the National Bar Association. Of course most attorneys are members of the American Bar Association, but the National Bar Association sounds like some made up organization.

good question.
despite him having (R) next to his name he seems like another greedy fat cat Louisiana politician who may or may not accomplish anything IF Edwards resigns, which is unlikely because….he’s a Democrat

Not that it matters, but as a point of distinction, this is NOT the American Bar Association. The National Bar Association is national network of predominantly African-American lawyers and Judges. Their membership is in the mid 60,000. In contrast, the ABA has around 200,000 members but that only represents around 15% of all attorneys is the US.

Had a guy on here earlier that detailed how a torn aorta virtually cannot happen in a person to person struggle where one party is trying to restrain the other.
Had the cops and politicians told the truth, this all would have been a total nothing burger.
The coverup is ALWAYS worse than the original crime.

A Democrat Governor was in blackface with a dude in a KKK outfit and he didn’t resign. You think a text message is gonna knock JBE out?

To be fair, covering up the circumstances of a man’s death to shield your politically connected friends is just a little worse than dressing in an offensive Halloween costume.

having only practiced law for 31 years, I had to look up the National Bar Association. I suspect it is of little consequence.

Well this is awesome. We were all collectively too chickenshit to impeach him, but he may be gone anyway.

not the same as the ABA (who are a bunch of fricking shitheels in their own right, but I digress). This is the "black" ABA
