Pics on WBRZ appear that they may have contained the fire. If so, I would have firefighters camped there for two days to prevent a rekindle.

nope. If all traces of slavery are gone, in 200 years we can write history books saying that whites went to the continent to save them and provide them opportunities in the new world, as their benefactors and saviors. We can say they were brought by aliens. With historical references destroyed, as the black population would love to do, the sky is the limit with the shite narratives we can make up.

How in the hell did this thread turn into a slavery denial plot thread?

The thread is literally about a former slave plantation burning to the ground yesterday. The year is 2025 and the desire for political correctness is at an all-time high in a society that values DEI and erasing inconvenient history.

It's not hard to see how this thread turned into a slavery denial plot thread

You’re hanging out with the wrong people. No sane person gives a rat’s arse about “DEI”.

They obviously had water or they wouldn't have been dumping thousands of gallons a minute on it when it was actually heavily involved.

Difference between a pump truck and a tanker truck
quote:

Most pumpers hold 500 to 1,500 gallons of water and come with a high-performance pump to supply water from hydrants or other sources.

A pump truck does no good without an adequate supply of water.
The initial amount of water was probably brought in on a tanker truck.

This is the same situation that California had just a few months ago when they couldn't get enough water supply.

quote:

The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) states that a pumper is “[a] fire apparatus with a permanently mounted fire pump of at least 750 gpm

Most pump trucks are spitting out around 1,500 gpm of water.

In optimal situation, a 3" main water line can flow approximately 1,900 gallons per minute.

2 pump trucks at 1500 gpm would be a huge strain on a supply of 1,900 gallons per minute.

I don't know what type of tanker truck White Castle and Plaquemine have, but even the largest tankers max out at 4,000 gallons.

For those film and tape vaults out in Callifornia I can see that.

This is what I found about Plaquemine's FD inventory. It doesn't even look like they own a tanker truck, just some pump trucks with 1,500 gpm and 1,000 gallon tanks.

I totally understand all of the above, but you are comparing apples to oranges. The California wildfires were very widespread with hundreds, if not thousands of acres on fire. That was a structure fire, and although at one time heavily involved, they did knock it down to where it should have been easily manageable.

My point being that the fire was obviously well under control at one point and all they had to do was mop up the hot spots. That would have taken just hundreds of gallons of water a minute, not thousands even with a couple of smaller lines INSIDE the building.

They had enough water to knock the fire down to where it was basically out with the exception of hidden spots inside the building.

Two engine companies with smaller lines, again INSIDE the building should have been enough to totally extinguish it and not allow it to rekindle.

Wow. Reading the threads on Facebook, I have never seen such overt racism as I have in those posts. There's some seething hatred from a lot of people in those threads.

They refuse to admit they are no different today than before, still enslaved, just to the Federal government instead. Except now they don’t have to work, otherwise, a vast majority are still on a plantation.
