That’s a straw man. In fact, if anything, taking down statues is evidence that we’re currently correcting the “fake” history that’s been propagated for years (that Columbus was some sort of good guy who found America

Nobody with any sense is arguing to erase people from history. But idolizing people like Columbus is kinda silly. You don't need holidays and statues to learn about them. It's called reading books.
