But the crowds in that area last year were insane.
Last year Sunday was absolutely insane right there....all the other days weren't that bad....I didnt go Mardio Gras day as we were downtown instead...so I can speak to that day, but all the others were just a good time with a good crowd
If you're down there this year first drink is on me at Ms Maes

Serious question, do you think the Endy higher ups have this same info?

I much prefer to watch it on the Neutral Ground on Napoleon between Camp and Prytania.
This is my fav place to watch as well - right by the church. It's super safe, bathroom access is nice. Lots of food for sale and I like supporting them.

The NWS discussions and forecasts? Yes. They're free and the general basis for all the forecasts. They shouldn't use computer models online if they don't have a basic understanding of them, and they're really more for context anyway.
The decision makers have to have access to good forecasting because it's such a big event that will impact NOPD and other city departments.
Point is, unless things suddenly look much worse, you'll be riding Saturday as planned.

I'll jump in on this conversation. I'm on 32-B. I agree, we should just ride Saturday and get a wet. Chances of rain on show for Friday as it is, so I would rather get wet on our normal route and get to go through the dome.

I'm 13-B and a veteran of the 2011 monsoon...going to get some ponchos and shrimper boots...
it's a confounded shame because the floats are really something to see this year!!!!

I will say this again, and I am sure again at some point, I can not express how much I hope you are right.

A buddy lives near Napoleon and Prytania so I may go there for a while on Friday. Might hit up rebirth at howlin wolf later that night. The hotel is across from Lucy’s so that should also be at shite show.

So what I'm gathering from this thread is that the most likely contingency scenario other than a normal ride would be an Uptown ride after the regular friday parades?

From what I am hearing from inside the krewe, is if it moves, it will Friday at 3, uptown.
