3 parades uptown that have seniority that night.

Even in the rain, they may have record crowds.

I don't think they will be able to do that. We just need to roll as planned and get wet. It's not a hurricane. We did it in 12. It's not going to be any better Friday or Sunday.

There will be a lot of rumor and he said he said over the coming days but it's wayyyyy more likely than not that Endymion goes off as scheduled where scheduled.

People should not confuse contingency planning with what's likely to happen.

The most New Orleans thing ever would be the city moving the parade to Friday, and then we enjoy a nice day of sunshine Saturday.

Looks like just steady light rain with occasional heavier downpour with rainfall totals about an inch each day.

If New Orleans gets in a heavier band it may be interesting considering the lawns are dormant not soaking up much rain at all. Will be rain during the week so the ground will already be saturated.

A heavy downpour may cause some flooding

I was hanging out in St Claude and Franklin after ten pm. Damn gentrification has made that area less scary.

My prediction for Endymion - Friday afternoon before the night parades.

No one would work in the city on Friday

I much prefer to watch it on the Neutral Ground on Napoleon between Camp and Prytania.

This is my fav place to watch as well - right by the church. It's super safe, bathroom access is nice. Lots of food for sale and I like supporting them.

But the crowds in that area last year were insane. Safe, fun.... but holy cow a lot of people. Plus the two years before that, it was all f'd up with the neutral ground torn up.

That was awesome the first year when you could stand on the neutral ground side in front of the fencing. No room for more than one person deep. Got bombed with stuff every parade that year. It was pretty unsafe though and the cops rightfully shut that shite down the second year.

That port-a-potty deal is the best. I love that spot. Usually lie out there on Monday when the crowds are less dense.

100%

This backup plan is a pain in the arse and not worth it unless weather look much worse for Saturday. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Endymion roll by me Uptown, itd be silly as the situation stands now.
