Tucks email was alot more optimistic that what Endy is sending out, and they roll earlier than us.

Does Endy factor in the issue with the rain and all the lights and possibility of someone getting shocked?

Maybe that's why the day krewes are a little more optimistic...because they dont care about riding in the rain

From a purely personal selfish reason, I hope Endy does roll Friday. I'll be able to find a parking spot at 6:30 Saturday morning at Finns.

Have rode in rain before, and I know they install a lot of things that can handle the rain. On a positive note, the weather did just change for Wednesday night, so I am hoping we get good news between now and Thursday.

Endy switched to all LEDs for this reason since there was an electrical shock issue when we rode in the rain a few years ago. But to answer your question, yes they don't like riding in the rain because it messes up a lot of the lighting systems.

I have been to Endymion parade in a full downpour. Of course it was after the parade started that it started to come down heavy. It is the lightening that they are afraid of but hourly forecasting won't be solid till the day before.

Now I hope we roll Saturday so I can bring my pitbulls to Milan and St Charles Friday night for the parade.

I would imagine it's a huge safety and fire hazard

So let's say worst case, Endymion does roll on Friday. What time would it most likely start at...late afternoon or early evening?

I'm flying in that afternoon so hoping i get in town beforehand, if it comes to that.

It's not me you're going to have to worry about....it's all the overprotective soccer moms that are going to be out there

Night. Late.

There are already 3 parades uptown that have seniority that night. Endymion would roll after those 3.

I would assume they would start at Napoleon and Tchop, late late....

the last parade is at 7 and they start at Jefferson and Mag

I think I’ll take my chances.

It’s the 16 year old with the gun I worry about the most.

My prediction for Endymion - Friday afternoon before the night parades.
