NOT having "help" seems to be the exception to the norm these days

Growing up it was the rich people who had help...AKA a yard man, a house cleaner, a chef, a nanny
Now when I think about my group of family and friends I can't think of a single one that does not have some "help" in one of those areas. In fact most have more than one of those services.
Another example of how we've become a lazy population.

This makes me chuckle.
The only people getting richer right now are the ones that have zero debt. And they are about to start lapping folks the next couple years while the economy is tight. Talk about learning a good fricking lesson.
You mean most people wasting all their money and will end up breaking even in life.

I used to look down on people who didn’t do their own yards but I have some very pleasant and friendly Mexicans who don’t speak a lick of English who do my whole yard for $30 a week and are grateful to get it. Honestly, it is the way to go.

We've talked about having someone come by once a week (or month) to do a deeper house clean and/or have someone cut the grass, edge, etc., but ultimately couldn't justify the cost. It would be nice though...

Or that these services have become more efficient. My yard guy charges me $35 a week. When I was a kid in the early 2000s, I was charging 40-50 from my neighbors to cut their grass. It would be stupid for me to cut my own grass these days. I could spend those 2-3 hours getting other things done around the house and/or spending time with the family.

Or you could just occupy a different socioeconomic status currently than your family did growing up

You know it’s true.
You of all people as a man of finance know how much people talk shite and they don’t have shite. They just run their mouths.
Let’s see the accounts.

One things for sure, you sure don't need any help making shitty threads.

The exact opposite is true. The best way to build wealth is through leverage.

Breaking even at a higher level.
Society in the US is moving forward. Part of economic maturity.

You should help yourself to a book and learn a lesson, because you sound like a dipshit.
Debt acquired as leverage against an asset in 2020-2022 is now a sledgehammer of a tool. If you had extracted all the equity in your home in 2022 and refinanced on an historically low 30 year loan, then deployed that capital elsewhere, your returns would be astronomically higher than owning your house outright.
I think what you meant to say is that those with assets are the ones getting richer.

I have fired like 10 yard guys over the last 7 years because their quality of work sucks. It is now my therapy, and it’s the cheapest therapist I could find.

I am at a stage in my life (3 young kids) where time is more important than money. Frankly, it is very cheap to have someone clean the house or change the oil in the car.
I do keep up the yard because I enjoy it, and my son has an interest in "helping".

I would love to have a housekeeper (my wife sucks at it). Just somebody to come by once a week and clean and dust shite. Not laundry are any of that. Problem is I live too far out in the sticks and nobody wants to drive that far.
