According to this article just posted to FB by an older, Hispanic (and liberal) friend of mine. Only one really glaring problem with comparing the two.....care to guess?

Those are just a few of many guesses. As much as Id love to be able to compare us to Scandinavian countries, it can't be done. We are too different. Doesn't mean we can't learn a thing or two from them.

Those are just a few of many guesses.
And they would all be accurate. Plus the less guns thing. I'm not trying to make this a gun control thing, but if a cop responds to a situation knowing with 99% certainty the perp doesn't have a gun, he's gonna be a lot less trigger happy.

I won’t say they’re the shite, necessarily, but your point stands. When everyone is about the same, there is little to argue over and no real thought of racial oppression because there isn’t anyone to really oppress. If you look at their demographics breakdown, it’s incredibly difficult to even find a figure or percentage for black Norwegians. And I don’t know a ton about their history, but my guess is their black population doesn’t have ties to slavery or civil rights struggles, so black Norwegians likely have a much different view of their place in the country. Bottom line, you can’t look at Norway’s police and make an honest comparison to the United States. But God knows I’m not starting that conversation on FB.
