This is the biggest joke of an excuse, whether you're an EBT recipient or make a middle class living. People from all walks of life don't buy fresh food because they are too lazy/ignorant to prepare a half decent meal themselves. Meal planning for a week at a time, ensuring all the main "expensive" meats and vegetables don't go to waste is nowhere near as expensive as buying pre-cooked frozen meals or eating "cheap" fast food every day.
